This piece is inspired by the Viking funeral held at Cornerstone Festival in honor of its ending. I recreated the scene in a smaller scale using cardboard for the ship. I wanted to use this piece to allow the viewer to see a part of something that was special to me and show the progression from the calm, to the more excited, heated and fiery. This piece shows the beauty and excitement of the ship and the fire, but also brings a feeling of longing and sorrow to know that it is forever gone and cannot be brought back.
